Since our last visit in 2014, I've had many requests to organise another trip to the lovely
region of Tuscany in Northern Italy. When we announced another holiday there I was overwhelmed by the response, and had to hire a fourth minibus to transport the 34 walkers!

The staff at Hotel Villa Ricci treated us with great courtesy on our last visit and I had no hesitation in booking with them again, particularly as I was able to negotiate a good deal for us to stay there. They treated us really well and we enjoyed two great evening meals in the hotel.
The weather was hotter than we'd expected and this made the walking rather more difficult on some days.
The forecast for Friday was ‘heavy thundery showers’, so we decided to bring forward our rest day. In the event we had a light shower that lasted for about 20 minutes and that was it for the week!
There are many thanks to extend: to John Aspinall for providing the accurate walking stats (see below!) and for helping out with navigation on every walk; to Phil for leading walks so ably; to all the mini-bus drivers and co-drivers; and to everyone who went for making this a very enjoyable week.
And finally, thank you all walkers for the very generous collection on the last evening. Chantelle and I have also made a contribution and will be donating £200 to the air ambulance to support their continued service to walkers everywhere.
